The Letter of the Secret Code

arrived today. And I eagerly went to the website where I can schedule my state exam at the local testing center (mind you I just did this a year ago on this same computer for another state) and the LINK DIDN'T TAKE ME TO A SIGNUP PAGE FOR THE EXAM! It took me to some sort of "practice test" I was supposed to buy. I exited and entered again, I clicked on all the options, and nope, the drop-down menu didn't lead me where it was supposed to go. That is NOT how it's supposed to work, per the state's own letter and my own recent experience. I'll be calling them tomorrow.

Quiet, gentle :::headdesk:::.

But, whatever. It's just a comical glitch, and hardly life or death. Must. Stop. Being. So. Me. Impatient.

It was nearly 80 today but the temps are dropping. I may get to use my other fire log tomorrow and need more for the weekend. And as GAWD is Mah WITNUSS, I will get Supergirl's Blankie 2.0 assembled (so far), and push on toward the finish line.

And Higgins is loving his new home.

  2. Yeah, and I love that he's this relaxed while sharing the balcony with the D-O-G-S. He's adjusted beautifully, and I'm really pleased. It can be a gamble to relocate a cat, and an ancient cat at that. I had one that lived on top of the fridge for six months, and only came down to eat and use the litterbox in the middle of the night - no dogs, no threat in the environment at all, she was just that freaked out.
