The Long, Long Road to a Broker's License

has finally come to an end. I took the exam today, and passed. I don't know my score because they don't tell you what you got if you passed - you only get to see the score/review the questions if you failed - but I felt pretty damn confident and breezed through it in about half the allotted time. I spent the last couple of days focused on reviewing the math, because I know that's my weak spot, with a quick review of everything else, and it was the right strategy. Despite a bad night last night - I went to bed at a decent hour and woke up coughing my lungs out around 1:45. Went back to sleep, only to have Sophie wake me with a genuine case of the Urgencies at 4. Went back to bed and tried to doze a bit before the clock went off at 5:15. Not exactly the ideal amount of rest before taking a license exam on which your entire future depends, but I was well prepared and got it done.

It struck me when I walked out of the testing center that I started that pre-licensing class...January 3rd? I think that was the date. First week in January, anyway. It's now April 7th. Damn, this has been hanging over my head for a long time - I'm SO glad it's over, and I can start my new career for reals. Tomorrow. Today, my ass is parking on the couch - I have half a night's sleep to make up.
