Snow? Nooo!!!

Not this week, please, please, please no! I just want to get this RE licensing class DONE! The state requires 75 hours and we've already had to make up two class days plus a couple of random late starts, and we are now on the home stretch - 3 classes and DONE - and what does the weather forecast say? A possibility of snow tonight, and a better chance of snow Wednesday night/Thurs morning. I devoutly hope the forecast is wrong.

Yesterday was fun - I dropped out of a planned hike for an impromptu Super Bowl party at my son's house. It was fun, and Grandgirl again proved to be quite the little party animal. She was refusing a nap when I arrived, and demonstrated that she did not need one - she was the life of the party, giving everyone the arms up (international signal for "Pick me up!"), getting passed from lap to lap, practicing walking holding on to grownup fingers, snacking on raw vegetables, playing with her older cousin a little, and generally being the belle of the ball [game]. I am a football fan but had no interest in either team in the game, so I could watch without emotional involvement. I left just before half time because I had two hungry dogs waiting at home, and Grandgirl was still partying on.

Damn, she looks like her father at that age - and like my baby pictures too, which makes sense, because he looks like me. You can't see it too easily now, because he's skinny and dark and has curly hair, and of course there's the beard, but he was a fair and round-faced little cherub with big blue eyes at this age, and she's a ringer for her Daddy. She'll be a year old next month!
