I passed. It really was a tough test - I'm a pretty fast test-taker in general (I either know it or I don't, and staring at a question seldom brings me enlightenment) and even so, it took me around 3 hours to get through the 100 questions, many of which had many moving parts (the math problems in particular). I didn't score above 90, but I did make an 87, and a 75% is passing - your score doesn't really mean anything significant except as a measure of confidence for the state exam. So I'm glad it's over, comfortable with my score, and absolutely exhausted after the stress of the last week. I have already poured a glass of wine and am planning to go to bed insanely early. This really was a bitch of a week.
But YAY! It's over - for now. The state exam is yet to come, but I'll think about that another day. My brain needs a few days off. Tomorrow we are supposed to hit 70 degrees and I plan to be out in the sunshine as much as possible. I may take Sophie to the park and then return her to sleep it off, and go back with Murphy. I could take them both at the same time, but that's less fun for all of us - they each enjoy their special Mommy Time. I have knitting and sunshine and recorded TV shows to catch up on, and I'm going hiking this weekend. That damn class is done, and I passed, and YAY!
We, the Faithful Six, knew you would do it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, and take the weekend off, you have earned it,

Thanks, and I intend to! This really was a hard week, between the lack of communication and resulting uncertainty about the school and then studying for a really intense test. Not something I ever want to do again, thank you. I'm sooo relieved it's over!
ReplyDeleteWeee Haaaaa! So glad that's behind you. Even gladder to think you're kicking your feet up with a nice glass of wine. snuggle the furbabies for me
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Maybe you're saving the 90 score for the state exam.
ReplyDelete@Charlotte - it doesn't really matter, these tests are pass/fail - if you pass with a 75% you get the same license you get if you pass with 100%. My "better than 90" was just my personal goal, and yeah, I can live with an 87. Close enough for me! I did not pull any all-nighters studying and if I had, it really wouldn't make any difference to my future, and just causes eye bags. :-)
ReplyDeleteYea, it's over! Yea, you passed! (knew you would). Yea, for 70 degrees, sunshine, dog parks and hiking! Enjoy your wine and your weekend!

One of your faithful six:)
What a relief!! Take a well earned rest- it sounds like you have a lovely few days planned. And the weather will be something to celebrate. I am glad this worked out- it was sounding pretty iffy there. Congratulations on passing the test.

Nothing to add but a big happy grin and "Congrats, well done!"
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I see from the comments above that the state test is pass or fail. Looks like you really know the stuff so passing the state exam should be okay. Enjoy the lovely weekend with your bossy little dogs!!
