Oh dear, it's difficult to tell what part of that post was from this morning and what was from much later on. So much for saving a draft.

The cabinets arrived after 5 p.m., not at 10:30ish this morning as the post falsely indicates, so I spent the afternoon sitting around waiting. It hasn't rained here yet. I picked 8 lovely Roma tomatoes from my garden and I'll be damned if I know what to do with them without a sink or a countertop. Maybe salsa. That can be done with a knife and a bowl. I called Boss to see what's going on at work (and whine at him, because he has done a lot of home improvement stuff and is very empathetic) and he said he has some leftover masonite he can bring me next week, to make a makeshift countertop (no sink, no dishwasher, but at least I can put things down on it) until I have a countertop. Then my neighbor up the street came home while the truck was unloading and told me that they have no kitchen either and are waiting for THEIR cabinet delivery, but they ordered theirs from Lowe's. So I will quit whining, because she is doing what I am doing with two preschoolers. I slapped myself and shut up immediately.
