If you get an email with an attachment that appears to be from me, delete it. I had one from myself in my secondary "blogmail" box this morning. I've removed my email address from this site until this crap runs its course - though this may be a case of locking the virtual barn door....

Bad, bad insomnia night, (pizza and beer on a low-carb low-fat stomach - oy!) and I have a haircut appointment tonight at 7 - I may fall asleep in the chair. Instead of staying in bed, tossing and turning while the million confused issues of my life wrestled with each other inside my head, I got up and made a cup of tea and cast on the Lo-Tech Sweat. I'm doing the moss-stitch border, since I'm using 1824 Cotton and it has like, zero stretch, what's the point of ribbing? Ribbing would just sorta hang there, at least the moss stitch is supposed to just sorta hang there.

Despite paying for the evening out with a very brief, very bad night's sleep and very strange pepperoni-and-extra-cheese induced dreams, last night was fun. A couple of friends and I decided we'll go get our real estate licenses (or get them back, in the case of two of us who let 'em lapse years ago) this summer. We all have extensive backgrounds in transactional real estate and/or development and construction law, and there's no reason we can't get on the real estate gravy train with the rest of the world. I've spent enough years fixing things screwed up by RE salespeople making 4x my income - one of these days it will be time to take the leap of faith and give up the salaried life and go into sales myself. I'd take the class this spring, but the yard and house projects must take priority. I want to get this place into shape almost as much as I want to get myself and my wardrobe into shape.

And speaking of that, yesterday I went shopping in the back of the closet and slid into a pair of stretch side-zip slacks I haven't worn in at least a couple of years, and a sweater that used to cling unflatteringly to bulges, and they were actually loose and comfy. I'm far from done remaking myself, but I can actually see improvement - I have to admit, I was a bit concerned that at my Advanced Age, weight loss would just mean smaller but saggier, but thank God that's not the case.

No walking last night due to girls' night out, no walking tonight due to haircut appt. and grocery shopping, but this weekend, weather permitting, there will be more yard work plus walking, so I'm not feeling any guilt about my one night pizza and beer stand. I'm craving yogurt right now -so much that I'm considering buying a yogurt maker. I have the strongest urge for low-fat organic yogurt with fresh strawberries.
