Happy Birthday Sophie!
You are THREE already! Wow, this year absolutely FLEW! Seriously girl, I feel like I wrote your last birthday post two months ago, and we are both a year older! And again, so many changes - we picked up and moved back to Florida, you have a new baby to enjoy, you had to learn to deal with going up and down more stairs to go outside, which wasn't so cool, but on the upside - SQUIRRELS! You are Squirrel Girl - you are fascinated by them, obsessed with them - you don't want to attack them, just get as close as you can and WATCH them. You are leashed and can't really chase them and they know it, so they are very trusting. You'll stand at attention at the foot of a tree while one of our semi-tame neighborhood squirrels plays hide and seek with you. Yesterday the game lasted a good ten minutes - the squirrel would run around the tree and peek at you from the other side, you'd move to that side, the squirrel would run down the other side and peek again - you were both having fun. I wish I could get video, but when this happens I'm holding two leashes and usually two poop bags, so playing videographer is out of the question.
It was another crazy year, and you rolled with the changes like the happy little soul you are - you bring happiness to everyone you meet, and you have brought so much fun to my life. We aren't even up to our two year anniversary of living together, and I can't imagine my life without my snorty little snugglebug.
It's good that you are a dog and can't read a calendar, because the days got away from me and I didn't have anything special to mark the day. I promise that Mommy will stop by Petco tomorrow and get you a big bag of your favorite treats.

Happy birthday, Sophie! My Basie will be 3 in September, I can't believe how fast time flies. He was an itty baby, and now he's a big, sweet, bruiser of a boy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, baby girl. Where does the time go? My Yorkie had her eleventh birthday on April 4. She's having a little nap right now, and snoring loudly enough to raise the dead. Hannah only weighs four pounds, so her snore is much bigger than she is.
