As Counterbalance
to the sad, sad story of the Fridge, Special Warranty Victims Unit, I started my search for new blinds for this place yesterday. Actually, I'd started it earlier, but am now ready to get it done and needed to search in earnest. I visited a couple of stores and ended up in Home Depot, where I was promptly greeted by a nice woman who knew her stuff and offered good advice. We sat down at her desk, she did a search for the stuff on sale, pulled out the books to show me samples, and I selected what I wanted. She typed up a ballpark estimate based on my selections (actual total will be based on the actual measurements of the windows) and arranged for measuring by the installer. The installer called me bright and early this morning to set up an appointment for measuring on Friday morning. Efficiency, helpfulness, and fast response! What a concept!
