A fast moving line of storms is heading our way this evening, which means the weather radio will be shrieking at me every 20 minutes all night. I will spend the evening crocheting motifs for the afghan, with a buggy-eyed Boston Terrier sprawled in my lap. Girl is working a 12 today so she left him with me because we had warning that bad weather was approaching, and he's terrified of storms. He'll be fine if he has a lap. If a tornado hits us, we're going to Oz together.
I was not affected by the massive power outage that hit the state today, it ran just south and east of me. Can't wait to hear the explanation for that, and I hope it's not a taste of things to come when summer hits. I don't want to be here to find out, but today I sent a resume to another local job. Of course, they asked for expected salary and I answered honestly with what I earned as a base at my last job, so I don't expect to hear from them - they might surprise me, and that would be good, you never know.
So now for the rest of the night (at least) I'll be singing "Don't know why..."
ReplyDeleteHmmm. we had rain too - but not theatrical rain - just the falling straight down stuff. since we needed it I'm glad. I do have a bit of foreboding about the coming summer - been asking the weather gods for enough rain to make a crop but not so much as to mildew the trees.
ReplyDeletejob juju coming your way from way up north in Virginia.
