Saturday Knitting Content. (improved photo edition)

Shocking, I know.

Yeah, it's a beige rectangle. I'm really going wild here. But it's a beige rectangle I'll actually use regularly - a hand towel from Euroflax linen. I was inspired by the idea in Mason-Dixon Knitting, but not so excited by the patterns presented, so I made my own in Double Broken Rib from Barbara Walker's Treasury Vol. 1. It was so much fun I started another in broken rib, and I think that may be the definitive washcloth pattern from now on - I really like the way it feels, even before washing.

And for Vi, a photo of my houseguest in his chair.

He later moved this intense activity to the yard.

It was a beautiful, sunny, abnormally warm day, and all the critters rejoiced.

And tried to sell me car insurance.

  1. WE can see Dudley's happy with the sun, and the fish must be thrilled with it.

I'm very interested in how the Euroflax cloth feels to use. I'm going to knit up the extra Hempathy to give it a try.

  4. Dudley is the sleeper, he has gotten onto his mother's work hours and is a friggin' vampire. That sleeping dog rises as the sun sets and is all over me to play rope! throw it again! more! Go back to bed, drink tea, eat toast, (tea and cinnamon toast - the traditional family cure here). Avoid the Apple Juice, you'll be better soon - you better be!

  5. Bess, it's gonna be 80 here tomorrow. We had ONE hard freezing night, just enough to kill off much of my landscaping and I'll have to replace that which doesn't come back (the hibiscus where the lizard is perched is starting to recover, but the front yard is a disaster).

  7. I couldn't lean in close enough to really get his face without panicking him, but I swear he looked just like the GEICO spokeslizard.

  9. I swear to you I had dreams of that color linen wash cloths last night.

I have to knit some (and I'm not sure I have that color linen in my stash)
