Countdown to four days off.

So far the plan is:

Leave work early tomorrow.

Cook small "Thanksgiving Dinner" that won't be much different than any other dinner, except it will involve a turkey breast. Girl will probably be called in for OT, if she isn't she can eat it hot, if not it is all designed to be leftovers. Turkey breast, oyster stuffing from scratch (a monkey can do it, seriously), whole cranberries a la can, gravy a la jar, and some sort of veggie out of the freezer because who cares, Marie Callender is doing the pumpkin pie and the whipped cream MUST come from that red and white can or the holiday is ruined! It's so mindless.

Movies. TV - did you know there is a dog show on Thanksgiving Day? I found it via Yahoo. I am set. Knitting. Knitting, walk dogs, watch dogs. Dogs sleep, I watch movies. Much needed sleep. Shop maybe, sort of LYS having sale. Online yarn store also having yarn sale, does not involve traffic. Seriously considering online store yarn sale, may do both if I'm bored. But I will be cautious. I know what I want.

Chez Casuelle

This week only, we are having a special private Thanksgiving Day sale for internet orders for existing customers (and their friends):

15% off all orders over $50: use coupon code “TD06-15”
20% off all orders over $100: use coupon code “TD06-20”
25% off all orders over $250: use coupon code “TD06-25”

Now is the time to order the yarn for that very special project that you have been dreaming of!

Please feel free to share this offer with your friends.

Obviously, if you are still reading this blog you qualify as my internets friends, and Carla is a doll, so allow me to throw Lorna's Laces lust into your face. I wore a v-neck cashmere sweater today, our office is freezing, and I realized that a small, delicate lacey (in my easy lace way) scarf would finish these v-necked sweaters off just right.

It has been crazy cold here, it's an El Nino year so we can expect cold and rain. This is following extreme heat and a drought, and will be followed by other adventures. The rain hasn't really started rolling yet and we are so dry it's scary, but damn, it's in the 40s, and it has been years since it has been this cold. And my house has mostly tile floors, and one of my Fiber Trends clogs has gone missing. (I have suspects, but it doesn't make my feet any warmer to accuse them.) And this is the first year since I made them that I really want to wear them daily. So I may have to go see Doni at Sip and Knit during her sale on Friday, for more Lamb's Pride Bulky for new clogs, because she carries lots of it. This pair lasted 3 years and was made from stash yarn, so I think I'm okay with buying yarn for a replacement pair. And of course, this pair would still be functional if I could find the other one MURPHY!

I have yarn set aside for a pair, I wish they were already clogs...I'm freezing!!!

I will be strong, no Chez Casuelle for me!

I am so disgusted with the dogs, because I'm sure they are responsible for the missing clog - Murphy LOVES felt, there is probably a nasty wad of something in the back of my closet and I just haven't found it yet.

Funny - we're hearing predictions of record highs for Thanksgiving here in the frozen tundra. If I need to see snow apparently I have to leave Minnesota and go to Florida.
Think we've messed up the climate up much ;)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
