Come to Vermont. Yeah, we get snow in the winter, but think of how much knitting you can do.

  2. Every year I spend here, Whitehorse (Yukon Territory) looks better and better. Actually, Whitehorse has pretty much anything available that a person would want. And I'd be much closer to a source of qiviut, so maybe it'd be more affordable. Hmmm...

  3. Vermont and the Yukon? Are you kidding me? I've been in FL 25 years, North Carolina is NORTH to me!

  4. ANd of course, there is the great Pacific Northwest. We have the occasional earthquake, but no real blizzard, tornadoes, hurricanes, or much flooding.

  5. Rain. We get seasonal rain - granted, it rips the roof off at times, but it's seasonal. I'll move as far north as Maryland. I'm an East Coast born and bred creature, I have always lived within an hour of the ocean at the most. I can't go too far inland at this stage of my life. "Western North Carolina" is far enough IN for me.

  6. No, no, no. I'M heading for the Yukon... or at least thinking of it. Maybe northern British Columbia. Right now I'm in Baton Rouge. You can, of course, come along if you wish.

  7. Right now I'm amazed that anyone can think of the Yukon, but OTOH, Baton Rouge in August would make it seem like paradise! :-)
