When Murphy Is Gone for the Day
as he was today, because it was his Spa Day - in which he is tranformed from a really smelly mop to a silky little huggable stuffed toy - Dudley takes it hard. When Murphy leaves and Dudley is left behind, especially when his Mommy is at work, Dudley takes it very hard. Then there was - a big rainstorm! And Dudley was all alone. So when Murphy comes home he is greeted like every soldier should be greeted, with wild joyful shrieks and slobbering kisses. And then he is knocked down and rolled in the wet grass a few times, just for good measure. Because Dudley is so glad he's home - that grooomer is a dangerous place, a dog never knows if he'll make it back. So I spend about twice what I spend to get my own hair cut to transform the malodorous ragmop into a Yorkie, and Dudley tackles him, slobbers on every inch of that expensive salon shampoo job, then rolls him in the dirt for good measure. So now Murphy smells good again, by dog standards.

Too funny!!!! Your baby is adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are waaaay too cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteSee Sara gets jealous and depressed when Angie goes to the groomer. The only reason Sara doesn't get to go too is she won't get out of the car! But they both go Rolling In It when Angie gets home all sweet and cute.
ReplyDeleteDudley doesn't like to ride in the car, he's a born backseat driver and frets all the way. When Murphy was at the groomer we had a big noisy thunderstorm, and Dudley was here all alone (with the cats) in his crate. When we walked in he went insane greeting us. Poor baby.
