I deleted last night's rant, not because I don't still feel every word of it but because it was making me feel even more negative just to look at it. It lacked the link to the article that started it, for one thing - Sidney Blumenthal. I see that all around me, here in one of the Red States. Of course, everyone in every Red State isn't like this - in most states it was only a narrow majority of these highly motivated voters. But that was enough.

We have reached some sort of cultural tipping point, and the Born Again Taliban is in charge, at least superficially. The rest of us need to take back our country. And that's all I'll say about that.
