I went to bed at 10 last night and woke up at 7:15!!! I never get that much sleep! Murphy was a good boy, he tried to wake me at the usual 5-ish and I told him to go back to bed, and he did. Very unusual - I guess this good sleeping weather (temps in the mid-60s) is having an effect on all of us.

Yesterday's Me Day was quite nice. I hit Target first, where I found they're now carrying Jones Soda in diet black cherry in 12 packs. Deelicious stuff! Yaaay!

Then I went to the two bead stores (links in entry below). The Bead Lounge is cute, has some nice stuff and lots of incense and cute giftie things, nice offbeat beads but not that huge a selection. I did get two strands of moonstone beads (my birthstone) for four bucks each on sale, can't beat that with a stick. Those will be mixed with some silver beads for a bracelet, definitely. Then on to The Bead Bar - oh my! If I get into jewelry making in a big way, I could get into serious trouble at that shop. I wish they offered evening classes, but most are on weekdays. I know the basics of bead stringing but I guess I'll have to spend more time looking for good reference books for other techniques. Anyway, the beads! Strands and strands of gemstones and crystals and silver and you name it, I could have gone totally insane, instead I went only slightly insane, a strand of garnet, one of amazonite, and one I've already forgotten, but is a rich blue green. (Those are not going to be used together.) This afternoon will be spent at the kitchen table, playing with beads. I marinated and grilled chicken breasts and picked up fresh salad makings and ingredients for a pot of my trusty crock pot stew, I'm set for meals for the weekend and beyond. Endless playtime is mine.
