A Tale of Felting Floppage
I finally felted the long-languishing French Market bag, and I'm not happy with my end result:

I should have knitted it deeper. I knitted it to about 10 inches, rather than the 8 called for in the pattern, but after felting it lost a great deal of height (the yarn is my beloved Cascade 220). This left it short and long, rather than squared and deeper. It's still pretty, I love the way Cascade 220 felts, but the next one will be taller. And there will be a next one, because I do like this pattern.
Murphy appears depressed about how it turned out:

Today I'm going to drag out the swift and ball winder and deal with some skeins of Cascade sitting in boxes in the back room. I'm sure a new felted bag combination will come to me while I'm winding them. It's a sickness.
