That little something is the felted pouch from Weekend Knits. It really is a weekend project - I started it yesterday afternoon and finished it this afternoon. All it needs is a zipper. It will be my first attempt at putting a zipper in anything, so I'm glad it's something small. The zipper is mango orange, like the top stripe. It's SO cute, definitely something I'll want to do again and again. The next one will be in reds and purples. It's the right size - 9 inches across the top - to be a clutch purse or a generous makeup bag, but I'm thinking this one will hold the sticky notes, highlighters, pens and clips and such that go to document productions with me. Very fun, very gratifying, I recommend it as a cure for knitting burnout.
And then, for Girlchild's benefit I offer a picture of Boris and Natasha, our siblings, from the very strange litter indeed. He appears to be a Russian Blue, albeit an oversized one. She looks nothing like him, but their body language is so alike, even among cats, it's clear that they are siblings. This pose is one of their classics:

Apparently Mom got around, and this may explain their being given up for adoption before their little eyes were even opened.<
