Apparently the Knitters' Review forum has been taken offline for a cooling off period or something. Anyway, I can't get to it. I'm not sure I understand why, because I already skim and read or post on only the threads with titles that sound like they'd interest me and I didn't see anything that struck me as awful. If anything I was impressed with the general tone of "let's keep this civil even when we disagree." I've been online since 1200 baud modems so I'm so very over online drama. It's just the Internet, people, home of "discount V*a*g*ra" and endless trash, it's an online flea market and free for all. If you're seeking validation and affirmation here, get a life and/or professional help. KR is going through growing pains and is a victim of its own success in that regard - as it grows, it will attract people with different attitudes and opinions. People are going to disagree, and everybody isn't always going to be tactful and sensitive to your wittle feewings about it, so grow up. Mutter a hearty "Screw you" and click on to the next topic. Trust me, if I'd waded in on everything that raised my eyebrows or my hackles I would be unable to get out the door to go to work.

Overall, it's still an amazingly civilized and organized space, and Clara is a very smart woman, and I trust she is doing what is necessary.

Either way, I was going to post there that those wacky subscription folks at Vogue Knitting managed to send me two of the same issue, so I have one up for grabs - first email to dellastreet-at-cfl.rr.com gets it. (replace -at- with the usual symbol). I'll ship international (but not til I get to the post office which may be a few days).
