It's a pity he's gay - Rob sure knows the way to a woman's heart - a cute house, great recipes and 150+ POUNDS of Koigu. Talk about the trifecta! (Matt is so lucky. ) I sense a huge crash off the yarn diet coming. (The shawl yarn on Friday didn't count - I can claim I was high on the stink from the paper mill and I didn't know what I was doing.) If you scroll down Rob's blog there's a great picture of a Kersti sweater from The Purl Stitch, made by Sharlene - I love it. It's small and fitted. It's not a freaking Cube. I've ranted before about the Knitted Cube Effect on those of us with Boobage or broad shoulders, or worse, both - let's all sing the theme from Spongebob Squarepants, shall we? I'd love a cozy sweater to wear with jeans or slacks (or even a skirt if I go crazy) on those nasty chilly depositions-in-North-Florida winter days, but few pullovers catch my eye as something potentially flattering. I like this one. I like the ribbing and the neckline, and it looks great with jeans - see photo. Oh yes, I'd wear that.
