As we can see by this map, with a few exceptions when somebody else picked the destination, Catherine prefers to avoid cold places.


Bonne Marie is the greatest - I'm earnestly trying to avoid buying yarn and use up stock from the Stash from Hell, and I need a new office cardi real bad, but I hadn't found a good DK weight pattern yet, and I'll be damned if I'll buy yarn until I exhaust my choices from the stash. And just as I was contemplating this yesterday, last night Bonne Marie posts a new DK/sport eyelet cardi pattern. I grabbed that baby instantly, and I'm tempted to swatch for it today. I am still plugging along on Bardot and the LoTech Sweat, but they are both shades of green, and I need to look at something that isn't green now and then. Oh yeah, I'll be making at least one of these, and maybe more.

So it was 84 degrees here on Friday afternoon, and 41 right now, but other than finishing Bardot, I'm done with cool weather knitting for a while. I figure around July it will be time to turn down the a/c and break out the wool again, but from here on it's cotton and linen and rayon, oh my.
