The cold front is here, and it's raining. Really really hard. Living inside a waterfall hard. It's so heavy and loud it woke me up several times in the night. I took Murphy out to pee and he turned and came back inside - "Forget it, I'll hold it." The open trash cans full of yard debris are sitting in the yard, filling up with water. Wednesday is yard trash day, so tonight I have to somehow tilt them, drain the water, and haul them to the curb. Oh, joy. That's going to be a fun little task. I can't wait until it is light and I can see how badly the pond is overflowing. I hope the fish don't go wandering around in the yard.
I who have little time or energy to knit lately am amusing myself by daydreaming of future knitting projects. I need to venture into the Stash from Hell with a notebook and make some notes of what I have in stock in the cotton family. I know I have Mission Falls 1824 cotton in a pale green, and a DK weight (or so Elann said, it looks thinner than that to me) in a chocolate brown. I think the Mission Falls 1824 wants to be a Lo-Tech Sweat. I need to swatch the brown and see what gauge it really wants to be for me. And my (store bought a few years ago) black office cardigan has been used and abused and is one step from its next life as a car-polishing rag, so I need moving and make a replacement - the Debbie Bliss jacket in the new VK would be perfect.
Right now I will go put in some time on Bardot's back, which is moving right along. I don't think I'll have it done by the 31st, but I might.
