Have I mentioned lately how much I love Get Fuzzy?

It's Monday. Bleh. But it's only a four day workweek for me, because I am taking some vacation days wrapped around the holiday weekend, to help move Girl into her new place. Poor Girl, classes start today and she is still sleeping on friends' couches, showering and doing laundry wherever she can, and working long hours too. She's so ready to have a roof over her head and her own bed. This has been the most difficult, disorganized, and disrupted summer in family history, and the low point of a very bad couple of years, but we are slogging through it. I'm hoping that once she is settled in her new place life will settle down into what will be the new normalcy, whatever that is, but this weekend is going to be anything but a restful holiday.

If the sun ever comes out while I am home to take some photos, I will finally post pictures of the market bag and the red SCC. A blog without pictures is so boring, but a little natural light would be nice, the flash distorts the colors so much. I'm making good progress on the bag, I'm doing roughly a row of diamonds each day, and almost finished a purple row last night. I'm just loving the colors, they're so rich and vivid, but that's why I want to wait for some decent daylight to try to take a picture, to give the full effect. I'm having a little angst about felting it, though - I've done tons of felting and normally have no qualms about throwing something in the machine and let 'er rip, but after all the labor of the entrelac, I can't help fearing that when it's felted it won't felt evenly and will have lumps and bumps. I need to pick up a big tin of crackers or popcorn or something at Costco, give away the contents because I can't eat that stuff, and use the tin to block the completed bag. That's the ticket....
