So how long will I continue to write '04? I've seen the statement that "what you do the first day of the year sets the tone for the year," and if that's so, I'm off to a good start, I was quite happily productive and also got in lots of fiber time. If that's the plan for the year, this is a Good Thing.
I didn't paint today, which was bad. I did take down the indoor Christmas decor, which was very good. That tree was big took a long time to undecorate. The exterior illumination can keep til tomorrow or Monday. Yes, I should have painted, but I stayed up too late and drank too much champagne and that screwed up my sleep - I slept only about 5 hours and woke up feeling like, well, like I drank too much champagne and slept only 5 hours. I'm sipping rooibos tea and going to bed early. Mostly I watched the Monk-athon on USA and knitted and crocheted, with occasional breaks for actual productivity. Impulse project: a ball of Lion Brand Incredible - a very nice ribbon yarn, btw - and a size N crochet hook, crochet a chain as long as you want the scarf to be, and just start single crocheting that sucker. I think I will be into a second ball of it to make the scarf about 4 inches wide by a bit over 5 feet long. It's shiny, it's colorful, and it will look cute over a basic black t-shirt. I also made progress on the Lamb's Pride shrug. Photos tomorrow, when there is sun.
I did NOT set up the scanner yet, that may happen tomorrow, after painting. Maybe. Tonight it will be very early to bed, with knitting.
Can't wait to see the Incredible scarf. Sounds neat, though I don't crochet. yet... I might have to learn! Also, I just wanted to tell you I am amazed and inspired by you, and everything you do. I've been through something similar and feel like I've walked the path with you at times. It makes me feel good to see how others carry on. Hugs and best wishes to you and Murphy for the happiest of new years!

You went pink!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and Murphy!
I was testing pink. I'm not sure what I want!
ReplyDeleteCaroline - I'm sort of squeamish about internet dating, I know how many odd people are walking the earth and they already have a tendency to find me.
