And Now, a Hurricane Watch.

I woke up to the latest forecast: the eye is going to pass very close to Daytona Beach, about 45 minutes from here, and inland area as well as the coast is under a hurricane watch. The weather will start to deteriorate tomorrow afternoon, and Friday will be very wet and windy. I'm as prepared as I can get, so let's just get this over with.

And there's nothing like an impending hurricane to send blog page views through the roof.

Outside Cat is here for breakfast. I have no idea where he'll ride out the storm; he still won't let me get within two feet without hissing at me. Good luck, you unfriendly little moocher.

Matthew is copping a lot of (mostly rude) suggestions from The Land Down Under - the mongrel has behaved very badly in Haiti - those poor people just can't win, can they?

One of the knitting web sites I look at has a new book on knitted dolls "My Knitted Doll" by Louise Crowther.
Knitted in cotton for easy care, lots of personality, and attractive garments to knit for them. I am going to try and get it locally - have no family use for it (Kirby is nearly 10 and not the least interested in dolls - it's horses, horses, horses all the way!). Your young ladies are more the age, and might enjoy them.

All the very best, take care of yourself, and keep dry, and I will bet the moocher has found a safe camp somewhere, they're not silly,
