I discovered entirely by accident that apparently my commenting spam filter has been a bit overzealous. I happened to click on that folder for the first time in quite a while, and found a lot of comments that were lovely and welcome had been scooped into oblivion by the spam filter.
I apologize to all. If you're wondering why your comment was met with ringing silence, that's the reason. Lazy blogger, lazy blog maintenance.
