Let's just say that the catch dish I was provided was rather shallow, and the product was both liquid and moving with some force. Splashy. Yes. Splashy. But it was captured and transferred to the labeled vial and delivered to the vet. Let's hope it gives us some answers, and I didn't just flush $200.
Sophie is quite fine otherwise. She's exhausted right now, of course, because Delaney spent the night last night. Once again we "camped" in the living room, this time on a functional air mattress. I had to tell both the girls (Delaney and Sophie) to calm down and quit using it as a trampoline. I slept there with them, and woke this morning with Delaney pressed against my right side and Sophie on my left, with a stiff neck and trapped in a tangle of blankets, unable to move. I had to shift Sophie to get up and get to the coffee maker, but it didn't matter, she passed right out again.
Another mad play session and long walk ensued after breakfast. Mom picked Delaney up around 10 a.m., and Sophie was snoring in the sunshine on the balcony before their car left the driveway. She's still recovering from all that fun. She is not feeling sick, her energy level is fine, she's happy, but we are still dealing with the Mystery of the Runny Poo.
I will be in bed at 9:30. I'm nearly as exhausted as Sophie, and I didn't run around nearly as much.
Good luck to you and to Sophie. I am sure you have already eliminated the obvious possibilities, and hopefully the vet will find something like giardia that is curable. Hope it doesn't turn out that she's allergic to chicken!
