My daughter talked to the vet today. The pathologist's report is in, and Dudley's was Grade II. AKA, the "We don't really know what's going to happen next," stage. There were clear margins, so let's all hope he's in the percentage that never has a recurrence. There are further explorations that could be done, and radiation is often suggested, but really, the outcome odds don't appear to change all that much with aggressive (and expensive) treatment. The clear margins are a positive thing.
And it's good to remember that when Murphy was diagnosed with lymphangiectasia the pathologist's report stated that his prognosis was "poor." Survival averaged 2 years. He was 9 at the time. He'll be 14 in March, and it certainly looks like he will get there and well beyond, still happy and bossy. So while this was not an ideal report, it's just a report on what the pathologist saw in the lab, not a prediction of the future.

Exactly! And without the support of Team Crazy Dog Lady here, the surgery that got it this early would not have happened so quickly!
