The kitchen is still fun. The floor is still fabulous. I'm still putting stuff away, and there are still finishing things to finish, and work is exhausting.
I'll resurface in a few days, after the work pressure dials back to a normal level of crazy.

So glad you are happy with it all, after forty days in 'the wilderness'. Take the next stage as gently as you can endure !
Proud Oma warning here: Senior GD (the butterfly swimmer) is in the middle of her final HS exams.
But she has ALREADY been accepted into the course and university she wants. She was invited, on the basis of her assessments over the last 2 years, to make an early application, and after interviews and some testing, she is in. She will be trying hard in the exams to earn a higher score, which would take her to a higher category course in her field (nutrition and dietetics). We are all so thrilled and excited.

Shout it from the rooftops, Oma! Senior GD is a superstar! Tell her congratulations from somebody who wishes she'd majored in something useful like nutrition. :-)
As soon as she emerges from the last exam -- which could be another 2 weeks depending on a subject's place on the schedule, I will convey your good wishes.
The nutrition thing developed through her swimming - she is particularly interested in nutritional support for sports.
We are so proud and happy for her,
