Short bullet points:
Job great. Not easy at all, but great - boss is highly appreciative, if already aggravating, but in a good way. He shifts gears so fast and so randomly, I felt it was high praise indeed when he told me that I always keep up and understand his shorthand speak. It's all way more complicated than advertised (isn't it always?) and very interesting. Definitely not boring.
Garage door opener broke. Car was stuck inside for a day - opening it was a two person job involving holding the release while lifting the door. Everybody survived. Happy Easter.
I celebrated a steady paycheck by adding HBO to my cable, and I'm deeply into Game of Thrones.
I have Nerd Glaze. Also a massive crush on Peter Dinklage's character, as well as the actor. Ooh, that voice, that wry humor, he's just fab.
It did take some adjustment - my son warned me to watch three episodes before giving up. My first impression was OMGHOWMANYHEADSCANTHEYCUTOFFINONEEPISODE?? THIS IS GROSS!!! I HATE IT!!! And then, I didn't hate it, and then I just had to see what happened next.
I still wonder how many gallons of fake blood they use per episode. They must have a crew dedicated to blood production - blood for beheadings, animals, stabbings.... But the intricate and fascinating politics and characters have made it worth the bloodshed.
So, anyway, if you need me, I'm either at work or in Middle Earth. Everything is good. Except Sophie's butt. Yeah, this morning we had an Emergency Butt Squeeze before work. Not sure it worked.
