Happy Third Birthday

To the Amazing Supergirl, who just gets more super every day.  Please forgive the blurry photo; it was taken with a phone in less than optimal lighting, but I wanted to share her adorableness and that this is no baby anymore, this is a KID!  I wish I could have been there for her birthday, but we talked on the phone.  She really liked the books I sent her:

National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Dinosaurs (National Geographic Little Kids First Big Books)

National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Animals (National Geographic Little Kids First Big Books)

National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Why (National Geographic Little Kids First Big Books)

Because what's a Namaw good for if I can't indulge her newest obsession? Her aunt and uncle followed up with a big dinosaur play set and an outdoor ring toss game, because the weather is warming up fast. When I called this morning she was happily playing with the dinosaurs and examining the dino book. Then they were off to Fun Depot, to be followed by lunch, a nap, and then dinner with the local family. Yeah, it's a little bit of torture not to be there.

I bought my carpet cleaner and got my hair cut. I had lived with that cut from hell for what, about six weeks, until there was enough hair to reshape. I went to a different (and much less expensive) shop and was very happy with the results. I have a new hair stylist; she's right around the corner and not a diva, so yay! I assembled the carpet cleaner, but by the time I had gone to two different Targets to find the one I wanted and then got my hair cut and bought groceries, it was too late in the day to start shampooing rugs. That'll happen either tomorrow or Sunday, depending on the rest of the weekend itinerary. One day for carpet, the other day will be for play. Not sure which day is which yet.
