Yippee!!!

Today started on a down note: my daughter and Miss D both have strep throat.  (I haven't been anywhere near them, and won't go near them until they have taken their meds for a couple of days.)  Two trips to the doctor(s) and antibiotics for both, they'll be much better in a day or two. 

My daughter has been sick more in the last year than in the entire last decade, and we both believe that at least part of it is job stress.  When somebody who isn't even 30 yet comes down with shingles, yeah, that's stress-related.

She isn't particularly enjoying her role as a preschool teacher. She's a behavioral science type, not a "regular" teacher, and she's been feeling out of her element, so she's been job hunting too.  She interviewed for a job she both wanted and needed; it will give her the practicum hours she needs to be board certified as a behavior analyst after she finishes her Master's.  She interviewed a couple of weeks ago and didn't hear anything for a while, but, she got the call today.  She got the job! 

As soon as they are both healthy, we will have to do something to celebrate.  It's pretty cool that after weeks of uncertainty, we both got the jobs we wanted within a few days of each other.
