Sophie and I arrived yesterday afternoon. She slept the entire trip, and still managed to fall asleep instantly at bedtime. It's a gift. She is beside me in bed, snoring, as I write this.
The weather is sensational, clear and actually a bit chilly, highs only in the low 60s. Orlando is still in the mid 80s, so this feels really refreshing. We have no firm plans for today, but I would like to get in plenty of walking in the fresh air. We ate at Papas and Beer (a wildly popular local restaurant chain) last night. I need to walk it off.
This is the first time I have traveled light -- no laptop, just the iPad, and I am not as good as the young whippersnappers at typing on this newfangled contraption, but I am starting to love it.
My daughter reports that Murphy is having a blast, and that within a half hour he was laying down the law and keeping the other two dogs in line. He is also teaching Miss D to give him belly rubs. So far, a successful weekend all around.
Say Hi to Asheville for me. Hope you have a wonderful visit.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful time in Asheville. I don't think I ever wrote to tell you how grateful my husband and I were for your recommendation of 12 Bones when we traveled there maybe 18 months ago.

Genie, I'm glad you enjoyed it! (I figured if the President put it on his schedule every time he was in town, it had to be special - I suspect he eats at a lot of nice restaurants.)
