Last night's sleep was bizarre, and barely qualified as sleep. I tossed and turned, woke up constantly, fell into a light fitful sleep, woke again, etc. etc. lather rinse repeat, from 10 p.m. until I gave up and got up at 5:30.
I have no clue. I was not too not, nor too cold, nor to hungry, nor too full. I was perfectly comfortable when I fell asleep, but my body would not allow me to stay asleep. I hope that pattern doesn't repeat itself tonight, because I plan to be in bed at 9.
My other half used to be a very restless sleeper, but somehow he stumbled onto Rescue Remedy herbal relaxation lozenges. He drinks a cup of vanilla camomile tea before bed, has one of those, and is dead to the world for seven or eight hours.
ReplyDeleteThey also make a spray, which he keeps handy in case he is especially wired and wakes up at night.
I know a lot of people use them for anxious dogs too. Maybe you could hide some in Higgins food and help him sleep as well.
Oh, I just jotted down the name - I can hit the health food store tomorrow and look for them! thanks!
