And so much for blogging every day.
I started this last night, but my daughter called to vent about the world of exceptional education, and we ended up staying on the phone for a very long time. Not that I have anything to say this week - my goals list is looking mighty sad, and that's a subject for further contemplation and analysis. (Oh, and while the HTC Paperweight is slightly more 4G than it was before the intervention by the Verizon store, it's still headed for a smashing party at the end of November. Internet works now and then, but it's not reliable.)
On to more positive things.
I just received an email notice that my mail forwarding order is about
to expire. I've lived here nearly a YEAR already! How is that
possible? My daughter is planning Delaney's first birthday party
already. I was able to reserve the little "clubhouse" in the community for the big event, because neither of our homes would be able to accommodate the guest list. It's a perfect spot, too - there's a playground right outside the door, so we can take the little guests outside to burn off the cake and ice cream and give them free range playtime.
Miss D is walking, but not talking too much yet. She has random words SHE feels is important, like "Kitty!" but otherwise, as my daughter said, she just DOES what she wants to do and doesn't need to talk about it much, unless you try to stop her from DOING, and then she suddenly can argue about it.
"YEAH!"
We are not doing fall here yet. It's still summer hot and summer humid, and I am thoroughly sick of it. I devoutly hope that fall will arrive by the day of the birthday party next month.
And now I need to get myself together and go to a software training session. We are going paperless, sort of, except of course for when people want to use paper, and that's okay too. But we're definitely doing part of everything paperless, and storing documents in the cloud, and so forth. It'll either be really cool or really confusing, or, most likely, BOTH.
