Dog Walking Audiobook of the Week.

I didn't even mention my last fiction audiobook, because I really wasn't impressed and have forgotten it already.  I followed it with a palate cleansing of non-fiction.  Twilight of the Elites: America After Meritocracy

I love Chris Hayes, and though I'm sure he's thoroughly sick of being described as a baby-faced grad student, he's just so damn cute, smart and articulate, I'd have pined to date him when I was in college.   He's also strikingly reasonable and sane, and I loved this book.  Yes, he is a liberal (here I am getting a tad bit political again) but this book struck me as balanced and reasonable.  Its principle is simple:  Our country is out of balance.  His reasoning struck me as quite reasonable and backed up by lots of facty goodness, but, particularly in the audio format, is an interesting and absorbing listen.  CH does slow down and not splutter in his high octane way while reading his own work.  (If you've seen his energetic delivery on air, you'll understand why I mention that he doesn't talk faster than the speed of sound on the audio of his book.)  I enjoyed it very much.
