Sunday Random Stuff, with Pictures.

Put the camera down so I can flop beside you, attach myself to your hip, and snore. Your insistence on taking my picture makes me sad.

Get your butt off the couch and feed me Early Dinner! I'm a Senior Citizen, dammit! If I want to eat at 3:30 in the afternoon, you should make it happen! (And don't I look really good for a 12+ year old dog with a usually fatal intestinal condition and no teeth? Yes, I do. I know, it's true. I've still got it.) Now GET YOUR ASS OFF THE COUCH AND INTO THE KITCHEN!

I had this wild urge to bake something this morning, so I whipped up a couple of loaves of chocolate pumpkin loaf. Mine aren't as tall because I used larger loaf pans, but they are every bit as delicious. 2 tablespoons of fat and no eggs, and sooo moist and chocolatey good. This is what it's like to be a vegan, oh, how we suffer the pangs of deprivation!!! One loaf has to either go to my daughter's house or the freezer tomorrow, before I nibble my way through both. I may have to have another slice with a cup of tea before bed.

And at long last, Supergirl's Blankie 2.0 has its photo op! It's been done for a couple of weeks but I'm holding it to send as part of a housewarming box when they close on their new home. Which should be any day now, if their mortgage company can arse itself to do its job and finalize the loan package. That's a whole 'nother rant for another day.

Sunday's over, and I'm ready for an early night with a book and a cup of herbal tea, and maybe a slice of that chocolate loaf.

Your afghan is beautiful! Thanks for sharing the dog pics---yes, Murphy still has It in spades.

  2. He does, and he knows it. He really doesn't look a day older than before his diagnosis and I-don't-want-to-think-about-it medical bills, and lately he's been downright puppy-ish. Of course, that can turn on a dime, so I don't take anything for granted and forget I mentioned it. :::knocking wood:::
