And of course,

Higgins ate his dinner and it has so far stayed down, and he was chipper and feeling great after he ate, and...I don't know anything more this evening than I did yesterday. If the food stays down and there is no more liquid poo, we'll see what another 24 hours brings.

But honestly, if you saw this cat you wouldn't believe he's at least 17 and possibly much older. He's skinny and bony, but can jump 3 ft. straight up without any effort, purrs and acts animated, and has a set of lungs on him that could wake the dead. Then, on alternate days, he's passive and sleeps in the sun and barfs. Then, just when I'm ready to pull the plug on him, he's on the back of the couch bripping with happiness.

I have to be up early to be at the final walk through for my new home buyer. I am not going to announce this to Higgins, but I absolutely know that if I set the clock for 5, he will wake me at 4:15. Because somehow, he knows.

  1. Do you dare set the alarm for 5:30? :)
