Better late than never...

September's horoscope for Cancer is, as it is so often, hilariously on target. Some choice snippets:

If your birthday falls on June 26, or within five days of this date, you have been through some very trying times lately, but things are looking up! You, more than any other Cancer, will be especially favored by this gorgeous and rare new moon that appeared August 28. Remember, a new moon gives us two weeks of energy to use at will, and what we do during that time has the power to improve our lives for the whole year to come.

My birthday is 6/28, and sure enough, the new moon on August 28th was when I committed to moving back to FL.

Your expenses will go up after Mars visits Leo from September 18 to until November 11. If you have planned to make a lot of cash outlays, then you won't be surprised, but if you have no idea why you would be spending so much money during this coming phase, then hold back on a few optional purchases until you see the lay of the land. Let's first see how the month plays out.

Let's see, wedding, moving, new baby, oh yeah, and possibly buying a little townhouse - yeah, I foresee a lot of cash outlays.

Your attention may be drawn to a real estate matter or a condition of your home, or to something going on with your mom or dad. With so many planets arguing with one another, a home matter seems to be reaching a critical stage where issues will have to be sorted out and decided upon, once and for all. If you are buying a house, make sure you can afford it, as with Saturn in this area, you may feel burdened by the choice you make, but only for one year. After that, you seem to find your responsibilities much easier to carry.

I need to tell you about this difficult last week of September, because I don't want you to stage an important initiation just when cosmic storms are about to whip up. This is why we study astrology - to time our initiations during the most favorable periods. The first two weeks of October won't be easy either. I tell you this not to get you jittery but to prevent you from becoming broadsided by events. I don't want you to schedule important talks during the last week of September if you can help it, especially in regard to home or real estate. Instead, step back, keep your schedule light, and see what happens. I would rather you RESPOND to events, rather than initiate them at this time, as you may feel a profound lack of support. It looks like you'll have to make adjustments to some fast-moving, unexpected events at home.

Yes, the next couple of months are going to be "challenging," and there will be travel and large outlays of cash. Oh, boy, will there ever be. I'll be driving up and down I-95 at least three times in the next two months. I'm working on my Florida license online, I'm sorting and packing (AGAIN), there's a new baby on the way and my son is getting married, and all of this has to come together by November 14th at the very latest. Nothing to it! "Fast moving, unexpected events" pretty much sums it up. But I'm feeling exhilarated, and like I'm finally on the right track.

I am a believer in the Law of Attraction, and I knew that my head just wasn't in the right place to attract good things here. I was forcing it, and forcing it never works. It's so strange, because I talked about moving to Asheville for YEARS, but after a year here, I found myself getting quietly frustrated - yes, it's really pretty, but damn, this is a really, really small town. It's a great place to be retired but a lousy place to work, and the promising jobs that I saw online before moving here all evaporated when I arrived. I really do LOVE selling real estate, but that, too, is frustrating in this teeny market teeming with unsold houses. Meanwhile, I was keeping up with what was happening in Florida, but still not thinking about moving back until the last week or so. Once I did, it's like the world kicked into high gear and good stuff started happening. I am absolutely confident that I will kick ass as a Realtor in my native land - I know I will curse it just as I always did - it's hot and crowded and the traffic is awful and I hate to sweat - but, well, apparently I'm stuck with it, and meant to be there.
