Okay, so,

I am not a fan of country music, ventriloquism, or the Miss America pageant. I didn't see this until tonight, but even I have to say that she pulled off this hilariously corny talent performance with real skill and an amazing voice, and obviously a set of big brass ovaries for even going there. I wish she'd won, because a woman with the confidence and sense of humor to do this for her talent portion would have been a hoot as Miss America.

I'm not a fan either, but this made me google the song---how can you not love Patsy Montana?

    Brenda in Iowa.

  3. I had never heard of this song or Patsy Montana, but I followed your Google and agree, she was amazing and a truly American original - which just adds another layer to Miss Arkansas' choice - which either whiffed over the judges, or wasn't safe enough. I'm guessing the had no clue about the thought she put into that "corny" ventriloquist act.
