The yarn was undamaged and was salvaged, and the tangling wasn't as dramatic as it looked at first glance. I know that innocent little angel did it, because when in a playful mood she'd grabbed a skein and tried to run off with it the day before. No knitting was harmed in the taking of these photos. Now, if she'd grabbed something expensive and complicated....
My first Yorkie, Teddie, would do something naughtly like that and then look at me with an expression on her face that said, "Now look at what you made me do." She was a lover, but she had quite the little temper---he favorite trick was to sneak behind the furnace, where she knew I couldn't fit, whenever she saw me take the suitcases out, and pee. Crazy dog---she has been gone 10 years, and I still miss her. I have gotten another Yorkie since, but one really doesn't take the place of the other.
We once had a 'yarn incident' that set up a sort of horizontal spiderweb, about 5 inches above the flooring, around every piece of furniture in the room, every chair leg, under the dining table was incredible, and not all the yarn was salvageable. Admittedly the perps had more than 10 minutes working time, but I had thought the yarn was safely out of reach.
Oh dear...I hope it's salvagable! Those darned roving gangs of cats! LOL
ReplyDeleteSophie looks sooo innocent--little bugger!
That is a hoot. Well, the picture is, anyway. I'm sure the tangled yarn is not.
ReplyDeleteGangs of cats and roving bands of anarchists. Always up to no good.

Now that's a face I could forgive.
ReplyDeleteAfter I've calmed down and counted to 10.
Love that innocent look on her face!
ReplyDeleteOh crap! ::giggle:: Sorry, I had this same issue very recently. Good to know I'm not alone:D
