Hmmmm...today's horoscope:

You've heard all about this thing called 'love at first sight,' in which people are said to meet the love of their life through blind dates or odd coincidences. Despite your skepticism, it's all true. Anything is possible, especially now. When a friend offers to introduce you to someone who's just perfect for you, don't freak out or make excuses -- make room in your schedule.

And last night, while noodling around on the internets, embarrassing my cousin on FB, etc., I clicked on the Boston breeder's website to see if she had any litter updates. She did (one little mama is due early June, the other in early July) - but she also has a 1 year old female available now. And yes, this may be love at first sight.

I've been thinking hard about my schedule and my options and all that has to fall into place in the next six months, and started wondering about the practicality sanity of adding a new baby puppy at this time. I do want another dog, that's definite. My preference would be adoption, but as I've ranted before, finding a small young dog that doesn't have issues with kids or cats or other dogs, or health problems (I already have one small special needs dog, thank you) is surprisingly hard around here. And lo, a 1 year old female Boston has appeared - and I promptly emailed the breeder to ask about her. We shall see.

Meanwhile, don't hold your breath waiting for any lovely vintage photos, because Blogger doesn't like the scan format. I'll have to figure out why later today. Right now, I need more coffee.
