After my rant about people who will knit ANYWHERE, I must list one place I feel it is entirely appropriate to knit. Hospitals. In fact, knitting will save your sanity there. Especially if you are there as family member/patient's
consigliere. Yeah. Knitting can keep you from becoming another patient, or getting arrested. My project for the duration is a mindless linen shawl, feather and fan (Of course. You want mindless? Have I got mindless for you!) Enormous knitting progress is in progress. And I want more linen. More, more, more.
oh lord, do i know that! i've been at the doctor in one form or another 4 times this week, and it's only thursday! would you believe, there is an ER in town that doesn't allow knitting? a friend's son was sick, and she had no transport, so i took her, and found out. good thing i brought a book, sigh.
ReplyDeleteNo knitting while sitting around waiting? I am all about the "appropriate" time and place for knitting, and if there ever was one it'd be the ER. We were there for six hours, and approximately 25 minutes of that time was face time with medical personnel. Knitting something easy and mindless kept my blood pressure down, for sure.
