In a rare guest appearance...

Higgins has taken time out from his busy schedule of shedding on the red velvet pillows and screaming in the middle of the night to say Howdy to the blogosphere. You may notice a familiar black shape buried in the chair behind him. I was trying to capture the snores coming from the chair, but of course he stopped as I picked up the camera, so we have a guest star instead. Yes, Dudley is back - I have to go out of town Wed-Sat and Girl has a few days of her usual insane hours ahead of her, so she dropped him off early - she'll be doing house/crittersitter duty Wed-Sat. We just returned from a lovely brisk walk around the lake - that makes 5 miles for me today, and 1.5 of them at Dudley Warp Speed. For a 22 lb. dog, he's a hell of a workout. I wish the weather would stay this gorgeous, but the heat of summer is ahead, and these small (Murphy) and short-snouted (Dudley) dogs can't walk in the heat, it's dangerous for them. So I have to enjoy my crazy little power-walking granddog while I can, which will probably be just for this weekend.
