or epitaph, or whatever: SERIOUS PLOT ISSUES, YA'LL.
I do sometimes wonder about the plot of my life. I also wonder about why I blog, and also about The Few, The Proud, The Really Bored at Work or Morbidly Curious Maybe, who read it. At the end of this month I will celebrate my 5 year blogiversary. FIVE YEARS of drama - husband dying, husband dead, job drama, hurricanes, father dying, more job drama, a freaking ruptured brain aneurysm with guest blogging by Girlchild, a lull in the drama, then now a lost job and WTF knows what next? Five years of churning and no forward progress to speak of. It's official: My life really is a soap.
One way or the other, this year there will be Plot Developments. At the very least, the Bossy Little Dog show will be moving to a new set. Whether voluntarily or via foreclosure...tune in tomorrow.
and you ARE STILL STANDING...let us pause for a moment and do the tap dance of nyah, nyah to fate, eh?
ReplyDeleteconsidering all that has transpired, girl, you can handle this shit. if you've got to rent the damn place out or take a roommate or three, hell, you'll handle it. so with all due acknowledgement of the crappy beyond belief backstory, and with many virtual hugs, you cut this foreclosure crap out right now. mmmk? And Congratulations on the 5 years!!! ahem. carry on.
Honest and true - the last 5 years have been explosive - oh my twinniness. I was just writing that to a friend. Even if mine haven't made quite such a kaboom - whew! tired of that.
ReplyDeleteso - let us begin writing a new plot - just you keep on writing it here, please.
molto hugs
It's like spring break for shut-ins!
ReplyDeleteXOXOX
we still love ya! i'm always up for an episode of "as the hairball turns."
ReplyDeleteHey, my week just isn't complete with at least one episode of Bossy Little Dogginess! Your blog is one of the most straight talking, least sappy things on the net. And as a still single woman pushing 40, you're a great inspiration for a woman just doing it herself, ya know?
ReplyDeleteIt's like a soap opera, but with 100% less Botox!
ReplyDeleteTune in tomorrow means...what!?!??
ReplyDeleteIt's just a soap opera plot device, and tomorrow means that sometime in the next three months there may be a plot development of some sort. Blink and you'll miss it.
ReplyDeleteSpring for shut ins, that's good. Even your readers have a sharp sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteSee if I ever fall for your little rhetorical devices again, young missy.
ReplyDeleteMe too SJ!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary C. Keep it comin' sistah!
