Friday's lunch with the cousins was fun, and more fun when Cousin M sent the photos and snippet of video he took while we were there, it was truly comical to hear us all talking over each other about nothing, we are nothing if not the Irish version of a Seinfeld episode.

Girl is working today, we will do dinner tomorrow. She opened her gifts from Mom, a book she wanted, an alarm clock she needed, and sapphire and diamond earrings in white gold and a sapphire and white gold necklace she needed, because she needs real jewelry. She has worked so many double shifts her life is basically work and sleep, she is buying my gift tomorrow before we do dinner. I'm fine with this. Boy sent me an Amazon gift certificate (and I sent him a wallet and two gift cards - we are so damn sentimental, don't you just want to gag?) and I am using it to buy the skinny little pocket-sized Olympus baby brother to the big camera, so I will never be without a camera in my purse in 2007. And I don't regret buying the Big Boy Camera, I love that thing to death, but I can't stick it in my bag and carry it around all day because my bag already has two phones and a Franklin planner and notebooks and the normal bag things.

Just got off the phone with Cousin C, she says they got a ton of rain in St. Augustine and King Street was flooded hip-high. They still made it to their lunch reservation, because this is Florida dammit, if you can't drive in a monsoon, go home.
