The Horror! The Horror!

Stories are whispered around the campfire at Pup Scout sleepovers, but here is proof....

Dudley has been the victim of...

The Horrible Dog-Eating Chair!

Yes, he is inside the chair. The dog is a freak, he will crawl into or under any soft thing that presents itself, and he has figured out that he can lift the back cushion on the Very Expensive Big Chair I actually bought at Ethan Effing Allen back in the day when I had pretensions of class. The cats said, "Damn, Mom, this is the best cat bed ever!" and then Dudley came along and remodeled it into his special little Boston Terrier cave. Humans avoid the chair. It is too hairy. Posted by Picasa

He's just making his own *Temple Grandin* hug therapy unit. We should all be proud of him.
(Now that I think of it, crawling under my mattress and staying there does sound like a good idea...)

    I agree with sallyjo...

My dog likes to lay with her head between two cushions of the couch (corner between the side and back)... I realized the other day when I had the sinus headache from you know where that it actually feels quite good to do that - much thanks to my dog for informing me of the benefits of this use of the couch, LOL!

  3. You know, you are absolutely right. Dudley sleeps with me when Mommy isn't home (and that's most nights) and he sleeps as close to me as he can be, and likes it when he is squished slightly. I worry about rolling over on him, and he WANTS me to do it. Temple Grandin totally got it. Don't we swaddle babies to soothe them, and when we're sick or tired or cranky, isn't it nice to have a big heavy blanket to snuggle under? Not that I like the thought that I am a big heavy blanket, but to a 21 pound dog I am. I think it is a memory of being in the litter, in a pile of siblings. He wouldn't be so sentimental if his Top Dog Sister was still around to kick his butt.

  4. we had a sofa that would eat ANYTHING! the cats would sleep on it anyway, and it was not unusual for you to hear a meow when you'd sit down. the sofa also broke springs on one side, so it is now residing in the dumpster in my driveway, which will vacate tomorrow!
