Boy's scarf, in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran (God, I love this stuff). It is mistake rib, very plain, because Boy is a "function over flash" kind of guy. The socks I made were a hit, but I made him try them on and as I'd feared, they really didn't fit. Too wide. I thought the foot looked very wide, yet the ankle was not proportionately wide, so it's not like the pattern was meant for someone with large feet and ankles. It was just out of proportion. They'll be okay to wear around the house, but I plan to do a second pair in the same soft but ugly Lorna's Laces using my old reliable snug-fitting pattern, so he can wear them with his hiking shoes.

I love the color of this scarf! And your red is dishy too!

Um, did we swatch the Lorna's Laces?

If you swatch and tell me your gauge I can whip you up a perfect pattern in a NY minute on Sole Solution if you want!

We did swatch the Lorna's Laces, and we were on gauge. The sock pattern was designed to be wider in the foot (and pointier in the toe) than my preference. I have another that I should have used instead, my old reliable freebie pattern I got from Patternworks years ago, I will use that.
