Extreme Housework.

I don't know what got into me today. I didn't make it to any stores. I started cleaning the house and Could Not Stop - at least not until my back began warning twinges and my knee muttered, "Do you want to walk this week, bitch?" My room is not spotless but the living room and my office are Divine, Dahlink. I mopped the acres of tile, I chased the tumbleweeds of the cat hair, I polished and dusted and de-cluttered. I went through the tower of magazines on the coffee table and threw out anything older than May or June. This place Shines. It is Clutter Free. It's SO nice.

It was 96 degrees this afternoon when I went to clean the pond filter, and Murphy threw himself into the path of the hose. Pictures below. Dudley was on the other side of the yard, observing this insanity with an expression of abject horror.

After the smelly little drowned rat came inside I ambushed him and gave him a bath - I couldn't take the reek of hot wet dogflesh. he still needs to go to the groomer, but at least he's not stinking up the house.

And now I am tired, and done with this nonsense for today. But it felt so good to really blast the things that have been bothering me for too long.
