Finally got my hands on the new Interweave Knits, and like many others I'm infatuated by the Sunrise Circle Jacket. But I'd never make it in wool, so I have to think about substitutes that would work and would also hold the shape of the jacket and not sag. There's enough sagging going on already. But that was the only pattern that screamed "Make me!" - at least on first perusal - and it's available online. The Trellis Scarf is very nice, but I have a backlog of "lace I don't have the attention span to knit" already. The lace socks are cute. Many of the other patterns are really cute pullovers and I don't do pullovers in this climate.
But how cool is it that Clara, the founder of Knitter's Review, is now a contributing editor at IK?
The dogs let me sleep in this morning, and I thought that was a wonderful thing until I got out of bed and found the reason why - someone, probably little Mr. Delicate Tummy, had diarrhea on the carpet. He's back in bed now, looking sad. I'll be keeping an eye on him, but obviously that's why he didn't come wake me up to go out at the crack of dawn. A lovely start to my Saturday! I'd planned a day of aggressive housecleaning anyway, but I hadn't planned to start it like that. Ugh.
Aggressive housecleaning and knitting, that's the plan. Photos later if the sun comes out. Happy Saturday!
Which one is Mr. Delicate Tummy - would that be Murphy? Poor baby - the boys are both SO CUTE. I know cleaning up a mess isn't your idea of a great way to start the day, but you couldn't have done it for a better guy. And it sounds like he's sad about it too.
ReplyDeleteYes, Murphy is the delicate tummy. Dudley can eat anything, Murphy just wishes he could.
