Fiber Tribe. Yep.
I am not going to apologize for my rant below, though the word "ignorant" is used many times. I'm in a red state. I live with these people. Ignorant is a kind and gentle way to put it. I will acknowledge that people other than ignorant evangelicals voted for Bush too, but I can't comprehend why the hell they did it. I just can't.
Let's all hug and hold hands and sing Kum Bah Yah and then go back to our knitting, friends again, like happy little bunnies, in Dubya's New World Order? I don't fucking think so. Our freedom is more threatened by this internal shift than it ever has been or will be by terrorists. We need to keep paying attention, keep talking about it, keep the light on it.
God, how boring would a knitting-only blog be? I read blogs for the slice of life, not the patterns and photos.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the tag board is covering part of your post, for me at least. Fun with templates!
Adding: now that said tag board has once again told me, in a pissy voice, that I'm being too wordy, I'll take the space to mention that I hate that tag board. But that's just me.
What kind of browser are you using? I've never had anyone tell me that before! I don't like the tagboard either but people use it much more than comments, so I leave it.
ReplyDeleteMy system is antique (IE 5, Windows 95, crank in the back to start it up), so I'm sure it's my technical shortcoming, not yours. It's not bad -- just hides a bit of the left side of your post. Some day I'll upgrade when online life becomes frustrating enough.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the bitchy tone of my earlier comment. I'm having a stressful weekend and should probably just shut up until it's over.
At least the FBI isn't knocking on my door. Your latest link is very scary indeed. My fellow Canadians and I commiserate with you.
It's okay, I didn't take it as bitchy - I was just curious. I know people using Mozilla sometimes have trouble with some blog formats. Yeah, that link scared me too.
